Micro Laser Peels & Non Ablative Skin Rejuvenation

As we age, we want to continue feeling young. At CüR Laser and Skin, we understand that looking young makes you feel younger. This is why we offer laser skin resurfacing treatment to help you lose those fine lines and wrinkles and turn the clock back.

The best part of this is that in lieu of traditional treatments such as dermabrasion and chemical peels, we offer a more precise and accurate treatment. We do this either in ablative mode with an Er:YAG laser or non-ablatively with a Nd:YAG laser, depending on your particular aesthetic outcome expectations. Laser treatment, unlike traditional treatments, allows us to focus specifically on the parts of the skin that need rejuvenation and let the unaged/undamaged areas of the skin remain untouched.

What do we mean by Micro Laser Peels?

There are many things that can make your skin age. Some of the most common being time, acne, stretch marks and excessive sun light. This can cause blotches, scars, wrinkles, or lines.

Micro Laser Peels is a laser treatment that causes controlled damage to affected areas of the skin and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin which help reverse the damage on your face. The result is new rejuvenated skin that looks thicker, tighter and younger.

Difference between Ablative and Non ablative modes

Ablative:

Ablative treatments work by vaporizing the outer layers of the skin. The deep heating effect of Nd:YAG laser beam helps rejuvenate and stimulate the skin, while the Er:YAG beam helps the body to form new, tighter skin. The deep heating effect of the Nd:YAG beam also stimulates the production of new collagen in the dermis and the surrounding, untreated skin helps to speed the rejuvenation process.

With an ablative process, the patient can expect greater down time but fewer treatments.

Nonablative:

Non-ablative laser treatment is a less invasive process. It works by heating the targeted tissue without actually destroying it. The process stimulates the production of collagen which fills in the imperfections in the skin and reduces fine lines or wrinkles.

This is not a skin resurfacing process and will involve multiple treatment sessions to achieve visible results. However, due to its non-invasive nature, there is little to no downtime.

The CüR Laser and Skin approach

Consultation

We begin by scheduling a one-on-one consultation with our  skin technician at CüR Laser and Skin. This is where we understand your expectations, assess your current condition, and determine the most suitable solution for you.

Treatment

Treatment can include ablative, non-ablative or a combination of the two. This treatment can also be combined with other skin treatments for best results. This takes place in our clinic and should take no more than 15 to 30 minutes. For mild treatments, most people do not even require an anesthetic. At deeper settings, a cream is usually applied to your skin.

Follow-up

Skin resurfacing laser treatments will require multiple follow-ups – less for ablative treatment, more for non-ablative treatment. During the follow-ups, we also evaluate if the treatment is having any negative effects on your skin.
